Hi there!

My name is Deb and I'm the redhead with glasses. Some of you may recognize me from my Florida days when I created my Recycled Rascals; flamingos, dragons, fish and other creatures.  It was while doing this art that I fell in love with glass. Looking at glass, touching glass, watching glassblowers and flame workers.

 

   Little did I know that one day I would have the opportunity to play with fire myself. How ironic that I would learn this craft during a sizzling summer in Phoenix, far from my beloved ocean.

 

   Once I had the chance to work at the torch,  I was hooked!  Since that day, I have played and practiced and made more beads than I can count.  Of course, many have been given to my daughters for their hemp necklaces, and some have ended up at the bottom of our fish tank.  I will only sell my best work.

   The art of lampworking has a Zen effect, serving to calm and focus both the artist and the viewer, enchanting both with the beauty of this molten solid.  I hope you enjoy my beads as much as I love making them.
